At first I was hesitant to buy this button making machine, assuming the plastic wouldn't be as good as the traditional metal buttons. Eventually I broke down and took this one because of the attractive price. I will say 100% that I am sure this one is no worse and maybe even better than the metalworkers. It even comes with materials for 500 buttons, which for me is more than enough to probably use it for years. It really is great value for money! Installation is easy and requires no assembly. Simply take it out of the packaging and get started. The reason I deducted a star is because that it took me a bit of trial and error to get the right size and position for the button images. The first one I did the picture was too big and cropped very badly. I'm very familiar with Photoshop/digital art so I just took some measurements and created my own template that I'll use when I make the buttons. However, I think it would be nice if I could save ten minutes if the template was included. I'm also thinking of kids using this who may not be aware that so many edges are clipped when you press a button and their first few projects are ruined as a result. (I can only imagine the drama that might ensue) so I think it would make sense to include something for younger clients, who have less experience in graphic design/photo editing. Sample I made has a 1.25 inch footprint, while the paper that fits properly in the machine is almost 1.75 inches. I recommend after cutting the paper with the included circle cutter, take the blank front of the button and circle it in the middle. This is your living zone.
