I took the chance to get this device from another brand. I used to buy Pioneer, Kenwood and Alpine. My friend wanted to play Tacoma in her old Toyota. I found it and dared it. I'm totally blown away by how well this thing works. Carplay's interface is quite fast. The navigation volume is excellent compared to the music. The equalizer allows you to get good sound even on a crappy standard speaker. For some reason a physical volume control has become a luxury these days and it works well. It's a feature you'll only find in high-end head units or expensive cars these days. If there were any downsides, I'd say there's a lag when skipping songs before they register. This is a very minor complaint. Carplay refuses to work via the USB port on the back of the device, but that doesn't concern us as we currently use Carplay's wireless system in their truck. When I need to connect my phone, the USB port on the front works fine. I would buy it again if I had more cars to put it in. Great device for an unknown brand that I have never heard of. .
