Good product! Works great, small.

I recently bought this remote control for my Nikon D800. When shooting on a tripod, any camera shake, even the slightest movement from a slight pull of the trigger, can blur the image, so it's important to use a remote shutter release to get the clearest, sharpest shots. I've always used a cord in the past, but it's very difficult to plug a 10-pin plug into an outlet and screw it back in, then unplug it again for handheld shooting. And again and again for a tripod and again and again for a walk. What really happens is that I let go of the leash and tolerate motion blur when using my hands. I've tried leaving the tether attached but it dangles and sticks to clothing and other devices. The same goes for trying to fit a camera in a camera bag with a tether. This device solves these problems. The receiver, which plugs into the 10-pin connector on the side of the DSLR, is really tiny. It blends into the concealed contour of the camera and is completely unobtrusive. Leaving it on all day is no problem, and it's easy to switch from remote to manual trigger with the small on/off button on the receiver. Very quick and easy. And it fits easily in your camera bag and still attached to your camera. Excellent! And it works. Half-press the button on the transmitter and the receiver will instruct the camera to focus, as if you were pressing your finger on the camera's shutter button. When the camera focuses the blue light on the transmitter changes from bright to dark. Then press the button all the way down and the blue light will turn off for a moment, indicating you have successfully taken the photo. If the camera is unable to focus and record, you will see a red light on the transmitter prompting you to recompose the recording for better focus. And it works great for bracketing. I shoot a lot in HDR with 5 exposures and this remote does a great job, just like with normal shooting. This is where the remote control shines brightest, as any slight camera movement is most noticeable when multiple exposures are combined in HDR software. I like it! I'm so glad I got it! I'm glad he exists. A few years ago nobody did anything like this. But here it is. It's cheap, and the build quality is top-notch. If you need a remote control for a Nikon DSLR, you can't go wrong with this product. Highly recommended. can't go wrong with this product. Highly recommended. can't go wrong with this product.
