In some cases a good alternative to using a brush.

I use this solely to apply masking liquid on some models. I used a brush and 1. it doesn't apply as well as this one and 2. when the masking fluid dries my brushes get dirty. With these brushes when liquid dries on them I can take them off and rinse them off very quickly and it works great.
