Let me start by saying that the wiring in our new house is so odd that one switch would turn on at least 6 different bulbs before going up at night. I figured there must be a more efficient way to see while climbing stairs without much effort, without having to turn on and off so many lights. Then a friend recommended them to me and I have to say we've been amazed at how great they've worked so far. Immediately after purchase, I fully charged all devices as it is obvious that the charge may be lost over time before purchase. . After that I choose maybe 4 steps apart to place each unit and once it got dark enough the sensors worked GREAT. There are 3 different levels of brightness as well as different settings to choose from based on your needs, with setup instructions included. The adhesive is very strong so be careful of your placement. However, the device can be easily removed for charging. We work a little over 2 months without charging. It's pretty much a put and leave thing. We liked it so much that we placed another set in strategic places in the house that we frequent and might not want to use the switch all the time. Trust me you should give it a try and I guarantee that 1 set will NOT be enough for you. Good product.
