I have two BMWs and was trying to choose one based on reviews. So I bought two scanners at the same time to be able to compare them. One was this blue one and the other was an Autophix 7810. The Autophix was about $10 more. After a month of using and comparing, I found Autophix much better. The creator seems to have outdated software and is very limited with their current software. I haven't tried the CD because I haven't had a CD drive for many years. Technical support is not available. There is no battery reset for any device. If I find a way to update the software it may offer more options, but I emailed the seller and never got a response. It's better than nothing, but my Wi-Fi OBD reader and Autophix make a great pair. I used them on a 2005 Z4 (E85) and a 2010 X3 (E83).
