Got this on sale so was a great price but even at regular retail price this drill is very good Quality I like that it has a spare battery so one can be charged quickly while you use the other. It's frustrating when you need a drill and the battery is low. These batteries even have a little indicator on the back so you know in advance how much charge is left. But the extra battery is worth it. More than once have I picked up a drill for a project and only then realized my battery was dead or almost dead. So if you have to choose, get a kit with an extra battery. Craftsman customer service is excellent. I was concerned about this battery because when using it I noticed sparks on the back behind the vent louvers. There's an LED on the front (which is handy too) but I was concerned that maybe the motor was bad or something. I also knew enough to ask before sending it back (actually I was going to send it back but then thought I'd ask support first). Of course, sparks are normal and part of how "brushless" motors work. cordless drills. The reason I know this is because Craftsman support contacted me and assured me that they are designed that way and the sparks are part of the operation. They won't cause a fire, but I wouldn't use them in places where sparks could cause problems. So be aware that sparks can occur and this can be dangerous around fuel vapors or other flammable objects. This drill has a lot of torque. I used it to drive screws into walls without first drilling a pilot hole. I like that the torque is adjustable. Overall, you can't beat the quality and price, along with excellent and responsive customer service. I do not regret this purchase.
