Review on Stainless Steel OGGI Cooking Grease Container - 4 Quart by Brooke Daniels

I really like this grease pot (model OGGI 4qt). This is a great size for keeping the fat out of my deep fryer between the fries. It fits perfectly on the shelf of my fridge to keep the fat fresh until next time. It is a heavy gauge stainless steel that is aesthetically pleasing, durable and easy to clean. The manufacturer recommends hand washing, which I do. It literally takes a drop of dish soap, a little hot water and a few swipes of a washcloth and you're done. 30 seconds . Sharpen! My only issue with this item is the screen. This is a nice strainer that fits the glass perfectly and appears to be stainless steel too. but the mesh holes are too big. It catches larger crumbs and dirt when you pour in oil, but leaves a lot of sludge in the glass. I use a cheap coffee filter in a strainer to ensure only pure oil goes back into the jar. If the manufacturer upgrades the strainer that comes with this tin, it will surely be a 5 star product. For this price range I am disappointed with the filter.
