Review on πŸ’° 8 GPU Stackable Preassemble Rig: Aluminum Open Air Frame for Ethereum(ETH)/ETC/ZCash/Monero/BTC Easy Mounting Edition - Ideal for Efficient Mining by Owoeye Reed

good framework. Would be ideal with better directions and markings.

I like the frame. It definitely takes more than ten minutes to assemble. Some of them come pre-assembled, which is good (more on that below). Everything fits together very well. Everything is fine with the connectors for the motherboard, the accessories for connecting the hard drive and the power supply, as well as all the associated devices for connecting. The kit comes with 3 hex wrenches that you can use to assemble everything without any other tools if you like. It's designed for 8 GPUs with a pretty decent spacing. Could probably fit more than 8 if your cooling is good enough to keep them closer together. A titanium drill bit would probably help drilling some additional holes in the top bar where the GPU mounts attach. Basically I am satisfied with the product. Below are the reasons why I give 4 instead of 5.1 stars. I mentioned above that some of them come pre-assembled. As I said, this is good, but at some points the instructions are difficult to follow because they are written as if none of it is assembled yet. All devices are packed separately (positive), but the packages are not marked. This creates a problem when some screws are very similar.3. It states that the support bar that holds the GPUs can be moved. I haven't tried it, but I can imagine it's very difficult to change given the default configuration and the hardware that comes with it.4. The hole for one of the motherboard risers was not screwed in properly. I used needle nose pliers to screw these in. I was able to screw the rest in by hand. There is no marked position or standard position for attaching the top bar where the GPU mounts attach. It was the greatest pain. Measuring from the bottom of the GPU to the top of the bracket is standard, so this shouldn't be a problem. I ended up having to attach it, then take the GPU and tweak a few times until it was right.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Everything is fine
