I've never cursed so much about something I bought. I thought this would be a great addition to my utility room where I keep all my project tools, washer and dryer. The light switch is in another room and behind a closet, so it seemed like it was meant to make turning on the light convenient. How wrong I was When I open the door and enter a very small utility room, it turns on almost immediately and shines brighter than the sun. On a clear day you would mistake it for a skylight. BUT. Unless you pretend to frantically signal planes to rescue you on a deserted island with no edible vegetation or wildlife OR you're constantly jumping around, this will shut down after 20-25 seconds. Ordinary movements such as folding laundry or hanging shirts go unnoticed. You have to kick and dance like those inflatable dancing people in front of car dealerships if you want it to stay that way. This would be the perfect gift for someone you hate. looks broken.
