So I have 3 cats. Midnight is 16, Lucy is 11 and Belissa is almost 2. I followed the directions for regular water bowls and equated them to cat fountains. Unfortunately, when this thing touches their precious water, they go looking for another water. Source. I waited 2 days and then threw stuff in the trash. I can smell it slightly and feel that I can taste it too. If my senses understand it, I can only imagine what it's like for cats. Anyone who knows cats knows that they need unlimited fresh water. Otherwise, they are prone to many problems. I recommend skipping this product and trying something else, but definitely have your vet check your teeth at least once a year.👎👎👎
