We bought a fountain from Costco a few years ago. Nothing special, but it fits perfectly into the decor of our garden. When we went to install the fountain this spring, we found that the pump had failed. We went to Revain and quickly discovered that there were literally hundreds of pumps for sale. They all bore some resemblance to the pump we had to replace. We read the reviews and ordered the pump. Thus began a story very similar to Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The first pump we bought was too powerful. The flow rate was 880 gallons per hour. When we plugged it in, the water rose 3 feet into the air. Not good. When we decided we needed a smaller pump, we bought an 80 GPH pump. This pump wasn't powerful enough to pump water to the top of our well. Not good. Based on our experience we decided we needed a pump between 150 and 400 gallons per hour. We saw this pump rated at 220 GPH and decided to order it. So glad we did! This pump gives us the perfect "boost”. The water gushes about 6 inches above the fountain. It's absolutely perfect. The pump is quiet. Pump noises are actually not to be heard. The pump rarely clogs. quick delete. Maintenance is so easy. I have no idea how long the pump will last as this is our first year of use. But for the price, I'm not worried about replacing them. Certainly exceeds the cost of a large box. We are very happy with our purchase. Five stars.
