I've only been using it for a month. (as a router) [Update: 2nd year on the way] I was a little suspicious of all the negative reviews but I really wanted a white router (see pic). So I really had no choice. And I was surprised. it works better than the router I had before (Netgear AC1750)! (Signal is stronger, startup is much faster: able to connect to Wi-Fi almost immediately after reboot) I like the controls you get in the web control. The UI is much faster (I think Netgear is stuck in the 90's with their web UI. Yes, hire web developers, Netgear!) Mind you, I work in technology, not as a networker. So maybe I'm a bit biased, see Nita below. I have decided to deduct a star for the only scam I have ever fought. To do this, I need to set a more secure password. I used to not have capital letters but had a very long password and had to change it which meant all my smart home devices had to be reset. It could be a 5 star rating if they fix it in the next firmware update. . It's just stupid. I can't put a password or a very strong password and nothing in between.
