Good 5G Wi-Fi at a low price - but you get what you pay for with other features

Do you need a new Wi-Fi router and the price (and high rating of 4.5 stars) highlight this device. Also, my spouse wanted a router that wasn't black. I was a little annoyed that the router forced me to set a 10-digit WiFi password (the previous password was 9 digits). This forced me to re-enter the new password on all my linked devices. Works well in bridged mode

I configured the device in bridged mode and contrary to the previous check it is still reachable by IP address, only in bridged mode it gets an IP address from the DHCP servers of your network. You can log into your router and find a new DHCP lease if the device is connected through the orange WAN port, the MAC address will likely start with 80:3F:5D. I used nmap to find it. I've only been using it for a month. (as a router) [Update: 2nd year on the way] I was a little suspicious of all the negative reviews but I really wanted a white router (see pic). Connected on day one!

I had the 4th generation Apple Airport Express and used it as soon as it came out! Decided to upgrade to this Wavlink router to see if we can get better speeds for our internet! So far it's great! You blink and the page loads! You can choose 2.4 or 5 GHz! I only have 1 thing in my house that connects to 2.4Ghz and that's because 5Ghz didn't show up when I changed everything in the house to the new settings! I really hope this speed continues! It was so easy to zip! Basically plug a WAN ethernet

Cannot port forward, but suitable Wi-Fi hub 802.11AC

Very poor router configuration documentation. There isn't even a downloadable manual on the manufacturer's website, so the quick start guide that came in the box will suffice. All you need is a basic setup - connect the router to the modem and use it as a wired and wireless 4-port AC/N hub. It turns out that this router does not support port forwarding.
