I grew up with a professional seamstress. My mother was very talented. She always had clients. Working from home with three children, she was always asking them for something. She tried to teach me how to sew when I was little so I love Fiskars too. I've never sewed as well as her, but I keep all my supplies handy, including my mom's Fiskar scissors. I tie a ribbon to the handle so everyone in my house knows not to touch anything but cloth with these scissors. I lost my mother when she was 60 years old. I'm now two years older than she was when we suddenly lost her. I wanted a larger pair than the ones I have for a project I'm working on. It was a very easy purchase. I knew what brand I was buying and they came with 2 pairs so I now have 3 different sizes of the best scissors I have ever owned. This is a company and a product that I trust. The cut is so smooth. They go effortlessly around curves and also make straight cuts easier for me. I love the sound of scissors cutting patterns on the table. It makes me smile from years past.
