I bought this one because the tear file slipped out of my hand and broke. This one is much better in many ways; It has a handle when open to keep it in place, it has 2 sides so you can file on the rougher side or the finer side and there is no need for a separate case as the handles close around it. The shape of this product is easier to maneuver than the flat drip I had. I've used it both wet and dry with no problems and I like to start with the rougher side and then buff with the finer side. I couldn't be happier with this product and the price is great too!
