Review on 🍾 Two-step Soft-touch Corkscrew by Boomerang by Justin Torres

The original Boomerang corkscrew works great. (Do not buy a counterfeit that does not have the "BOOMERANG" MARKING as it may break where the capsule cutter meets the body.) Apparently the Boomerang folks wanted to improve their product by using a double action lever added, like the one you can buy at Trader Joe's for $3. Good idea, but they got it wrong: the geometry is such that - after many tries - I can't get the double-click lever to snap the neck of the bottle to pop the cork out! They may have had patent infringement issues and dropped the small pivot in the center of a competitor's lever (which actually works very well), but don't buy this one with its rigid lever. Buy a real boomerang without double traction modification; it works very well. Or stick with Joe's virtually free model that works too. You will be happier.
