Vornado makes big fans. I have many and they are all great. Great as a fan. The problem is I was hoping to get a reliable fan that I could attach to my son's bed that is bigger and more reliable than many other mini fans you see for this purpose. The extra clip is plastic and essentially useless. The fan is a lot bigger than it looks and this clip doesn't stand a chance of holding it. Not even close. The base on three legs is also plastic, and until the legs are completely apart they don't get a chance to hold the fan either. Admittedly this is more of an industrial fan and if you have enough space to mount it then it will more than help. But I tried using it for a dorm room (which has little space) and it didn't work. The fan itself is powerful and performs just as well as any other Vornado fan. I just want the hardware that goes with it, especially the clamp, to work better.
