This 5/8" router bit has some significant issues starting from the design. The steel may be tool steel, but it is a SOFT tool steel that sharpens and dulls quickly. a bit small, a bit short and the initial sharpening is useless. The fence is decorative as it is made of thin galvanized steel. However I have resharpened the tool and it has a very good edge and will (in its short lifespan) be a useful tool . I say short life because with my sharpener the flute is used as a reference and the flute is so short that I run out of steel in less than an inch. If price is your concern and you have the tools necessary to sharpen to your liking, this might work. Unless you want to fiddle with it and re-sharpen it (repeatedly), you might want to spend a little more money on a tool that comes with decent quality Steel is profiled to a fingernail.
