Review on 🎧 DUKABEL 3.5mm Headset Splitter Adapter – Separate Headphone & Mic Jack Combo for PS4, Xbox One, PC, Laptop – 11inch/30CM Cable Length by Michael Reynolds

I bought this to replace a very cheap TRRS splitter I got for about $5. The cheap one worked for both headphones and a mic but I was afraid it wouldn't hold up. This one seems very strong and sturdy, but it doesn't work. When I plugged the first one I got into my MacBook, the MacBook showed both external headphones and a microphone, but the microphone jack didn't work. After plugging and unplugging several times, the MacBook no longer recognized the external microphone jack. They sent a replacement but the external mic connector was never found on the replacement. The cheap generic from China still works, but I'll keep trying to find a more reliable substitute that works.
