Makes my finished knits even better

I usually work with very bulky yarns that shed like crazy when worked - a few rows in something and I have ALL my face. The end product is always soft but a bit scratchy and you'll see a slight "sheen" of down on things like hats. The first thing I used with the soak was a large, bulky wool blanket that was knit quite tight and shed like my Shiba all summer. I soaked it in KnitIQ for about an hour and rinsed it several times. Oh my god, I didn't know wool could absorb so much water! I almost fell in the tub trying to get the cover out. After rolling the comforter in a couple of towels and drying/loosely fixing it flat for a few days, the fibers of my comforter have loosened up and become more durable - it's now the softest, most comfortable comforter in the house (it definitely doesn't barracks) . At first (because it contains lanolin and I used 100% wool) it definitely smelled like fancy sheep rolling in lavender and mud. Once the duvet dries, it gives off a lemony lavender scent that seems to last forever. I think I washed it 2 months ago, we use it every day and it still smells freshly washed. I also soaked a small section of clothing to see how it works on fabrics like cotton. You don't smell "fancy sheep" and it cleans really well. You just leave it on and don't have to shake the water. The scent doesn't last that long - I suspect the scent binds to the lanolin. Aside from being great for wool and knits, I think this soak is a great option if you travel a lot or have a washing machine. problems. If I were moving to an apartment where I need to use vending machines again I would use this laundry for small washes to save money of course. UPDATE: I've used this detergent on other hard-to-wash items and it has worked. be an amazing stain remover! I soaked my bracelets (with metal supports) overnight. They had paint stains that were many years old so I wasn't expecting anything special. The color was gone the next day! I also soaked my white cloth face masks at night - the makeup goes off instantly without scrubbing or bleaching :)
