I got this yesterday and I have to say I love this scoop! I help the local rescue group by taking in kittens recovering from neutering. I wash several trays a day. I've used many different shovels with varying results. For kitty litter I use plastic "sink baskets" because I like to use a lot of litter and the taller sides make it difficult for kittens to lug newspapers in (yes). , I use a much smaller litter box for kittens and younger kittens). This scoop feels very durable when sifting through Deep Filler. Small pieces came out which means I don't have to change the filling as often. I really have to emphasize how durable this shovel is! With a bed as deep as mine, my shovels broke - not only did this one not break, it never buckled or felt like it couldn't handle it. It has a shorter handle for closed pots, I would have liked a longer handle for my needs. But that's a personal matter, not a scoop issue. Due to the strength of the shovel and the fact that small things get caught in it, I will be ordering more and highly recommend it!
