Puppy fell off the floor

I bought this to help my puppy hike with us. Unfortunately, the bottom of the bag came loose the first time I used it and fell through! Thank goodness she was wearing a seat belt and not a collar or she would have fallen to the ground and possibly injured herself or worse! She's not heavy either so I don't understand what happened, she weighs about 8 pounds. I'm very upset that I didn't use it before otherwise I would have returned it but due to Covid we didn't go out until recently. I wouldn't recommend it, it seems strong and durable but now I'm afraid to use it.
