A big step into the future - at least for me

I wanted to be able to move my device around the house without having to worry about whether there were Ethernet sockets in those places. This PCIe card promised Wi-Fi 6 or more gigabit speeds (at 5GHz) and while my ISP (my plan) isn't there yet, I want top speeds when the upgrade happens next year. The attached note mentioned a CD that didn't materialize. Since drivers are provided online these days and I know they are Intel, I downloaded the Intel Driver & Support Assistant from their website. the video card (not in use) needs to be upgraded. I strongly encourage you to do the same. Unfortunately I made the mistake of putting the card in the last PCIe slot where there was a conflict and it wouldn't boot (code 10). I switched it to the next video slot and it worked. Don't forget to connect the USB connector to the motherboard (as indicated). The surprising thing was the results of my AB test. I disabled wired ethernet and then disabled wifi. The speed test results were the same. For the first time I have the same speed on every connection (over 500 Mbit/s download). Disclaimer, Tested 10 feet from router. But with every other card/wireless USB I've tried before in the same place, I've been wrong by many percent (less WiFi). I hope the tips in my review and other Vine reviews (which tend to be long and helpful) have helped you in your decision making and/or installation process.
