Review on Black Xiaomi DDpai Mini3 Dash Cam by Kim Chong ᠌

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Just a terrible product, very upset.

The first registrar I have and such horror. Now I understand that it is better to buy with a removable memory card, with a screen and it is highly desirable with a mechanical switch. When driving the car on weekends, and this is the most common use case, it is best to disconnect the camera from the power supply. Doing this by pulling out the hose is not convenient. The registrar connected by mounting the giblets of a high-quality USB from the cigarette lighter into the interior lighting dome. Those. I just took a high-quality cigarette lighter to USB, disassembled it. I chose the place of attachment in the ceiling, printed a case on a 3D printer, which fits into the ceiling securely without gluing. The wire under the upholstery of the roof is laid in a coil. Nothing hangs anywhere, nothing sticks out. But unfortunately, the interior lighting switching circuit without an external device cannot be used to power the recorder only when the ignition is turned on. The voltage on the ceiling lamp appears when the door is opened, the ignition is turned on, but disappears after a while. And connecting the registrar to the button is stupidity. It would be possible to build some crap on the arduino to intelligently determine the state, such as if door 1 was opened, then turn it on, if the second - turn it off. But there is no adequate sign of the state without extra wires. Velcro for the camera - 3M adhesive tape for gluing rain sensors emnip. There is a piece of iron in a small piece. Although IMHO it would be better if it was thinner.

Pros
  • None.
Cons
  • 1. Installation method. It is not possible to set the horizontal angle after gluing the mount. At least two Velcro in the kit, there are two attempts. 2. An idiotic application in which it is not possible to quickly find and download the desired video. To download it, you need to view it in its entirety. Probably the authors of positive reviews do not use it for its intended purpose, otherwise there would be no 4.7. Not only that, you need to guess in which particular piece of video from the same set you need. At the same time, there is no way to quickly view / scroll through one and switch to the next. 3. The device heats up noticeably, this will most likely cause it to fail. In the summer, it can be 50 degrees in the car, and sometimes more. 4. When the temperature rises, the camera in the mount rotates much more freely and, if you move it carelessly (plugging in the power), it can turn around and you won’t know about it without connecting to it. 5. After a year of operation, the dumb attachment fell out x10104 and refused to connect to the camera. It was decided by ating (probably) it. 6. There is no way to synchronize the entire memory of the camera with one click, or at least access the FS of the device from a smartphone. Using the interface to download videos is a horror. 7. In order to conveniently and quickly figure out what's inside, you need to remove the camera, drag it home, mount the FS and poke around. 8. Significant power consumption in standby mode. On a car, the battery lasts 3 years, on the fourth it has to be changed, since in winter, from weekends to weekends, when the charge temperature drops, it is not enough to start. With the camera in parking mode, the week is reduced to 2-3 days. 9. A bunch of moronic and absolutely unnecessary functions like the G sensor, its readings, log files, etc. 10. Incomprehensible algorithm for working with internal memory. For example, on June 19, there are records on the camera for 18 and 19, and for some hell from May 26, a piece. 11. A small amount of built-in memory and the fact that it is non-removable. 12. By itself, a clumsy, dumb attachment.
