The seller is wrong about cleaning Rose Quartz

Rose Quartz can be used either in water or in some kind of water, for example with a damp cloth. It can only basically destroy it, tarnish it. I don't feel safe at all throwing it in the water. I might buy another one that should NOT be in water.
