You need to know which wire they are best suited for. They're not very thick and I don't think they're heavy at all, but they're good for the money, I wouldn't use this option on battery terminals that have stiffer wires and thicker copper strands, even on small things just because you really need something more want to secure around the car battery terminals. They break almost as easily as the cheaper ferrules based on a stamped chopper or aluminum plate sold at local auto parts stores, and even though they are of significantly better quality, simply break over time. They are too weak for the larger wire and just don't have enough grip when screwed on. But they are ideal for stranded copper welding wire or "cca" aluminum wire because these wires are more flexible. I recommend soldering after crimping or just soldering.
