These terminals are very thin and will not hold a crimped wire. I tried soldering them, but as soon as I tightened them enough to keep them from moving, the ring broke off the upset cylinder.

They worked fine with my battery cables. I didn't have a crimper big enough, so I soldered them using rosin flux, solder, and a flashlight. It seems to have worked fine, although I'm sure a crimping tool would have been quicker. I was glad to find them as most of the battery spades I found were almost as expensive for a pair of spades as they were for this whole kit.

These cable lugs are made of thinner metal than I'm used to for heavy cable on golf carts, cars, trucks and boats. Also, the box is labeled with wire sizes and I found that in most cases the wire hole in the eyelet was too big for the intended wire. As there are many sizes, others may work.

Good choice. Excellent value for money, especially when compared to auto parts stores. The terminals are strong enough. I have a #6 stranded copper battery wire. I simply inserted the wire and crimped it with a hammer. No special crimping tool required (you can add a crimp line with a pair of wire cutters after hammering).

Bought for battery mounting. I need 10AWG, 8, AWG and 6AWG listed in the kit. The tin coating shines suspiciously. I scratched the plating and it turned out that there was copper underneath. My RMA flux removes the coating easily. The metal of the terminal is thin but not easy to bend. They solder very well. 10AWG is too small for 8AWG and too big for 10AWG. Typical Chinese guessing what metric size will do, rather than fitting it to the correct AWG spec.

You need to know which wire they are best suited for. They're not very thick and I don't think they're heavy at all, but they're good for the money, I wouldn't use this option on battery terminals that have stiffer wires and thicker copper strands, even on small things just because you really need something more want to secure around the car battery terminals.
