After reading the reviews and getting the Husky equivalent of this sensor I wasn't impressed. This $52 device looked good on paper, but I wasn't sure until it arrived. I was trying to replace the built in Viair pressure gauge which I tried but couldn't use as an accessory for a new 25ft Husky 1/4" hose. from 0 to 150, but instead you get a numeric value like 32.5 psi. inches or 33 psi inches (in 0.5 increments). You press a button to turn it on/off. You press the second button to switch from psi to other units. To connect this gauge to a standard 1/4 inch hose you will need a quick disconnect. I prefer the aluminum Husky High Flow quick coupler ($7 at Homedepot)βit's softer on the hands than the cheaper-looking steel couplers. At the other end of the hose you may need a second one - I do this when I connect my Viair 400p, a great portable compressor, 1/3 duty cycle but faster CFM than full mode. And if you want to mount the compressor on your car and leave it there (e.g. under an SUV/Jeep/truck) then the Viair 42047 is a good choice.
