My family enjoys trying a variety of Starbucks coffees, especially when they are in limited supply. If you want to try several varieties at once and ask the store manager, they usually let you select a few varieties in 1/4 pound packs and grind them up for you to take home. It's kind of a little sampler. We sampled some of their limited edition coffees over the holidays and ended up at a counter full of coffee bags. :0These tall rectangular containers (I call them little canisters) are perfect for a pound of coffee (ground or bean) or a pound of pasta. They also make it very easy to pour out the contents instead of using a scoop. In the first picture you can see three of them next to the coffee cup (for height and size comparison). In the second one you can see that I mark them with a marker. It washes out after three washes, so I can use the canisters for something else. In the third picture you can see one on top of two Lock n Lock square canisters. What I like about the large ones versus the square ones is that the ground coffee doesn't splatter all over the place. I swear if you barely breathe ground coffee in square jars it's flying all over the place. ;) No problem with high canisters. If you've never had a Lock & Lock (I call it Lock n Lock), it's waterproof, moisture-proof, ant-proof, bug-proof, etc. It's easy to clean in the top rack of the dishwasher, just make sure you turn it off tumble dry and air dry. Sometimes blue silicone seals fall off the lids. Just dry the inside of the lid and put it back on. I have a Lock n Lock that is over ten years old and still works fine. And yes, these are the originals sold first on QVC.
