As an electrical engineer, I love playing with new projects and making little gadgets. As for the PCB stereo jack, they are all very similar. They differ in the floor plans, but in function they are all basically the same. Three pins (common, right and left) and one input jack tie the whole device together. The pins on this product are very short. So if you're making a PCB with vias that aren't fully plated, this can be a problem. If you want to use it for a breadboard, jumpers will need to be placed on the wires to ensure a safe connection. Overall, the device performs as expected and is a reliable input or output.
