The switch is worth the money.

My fans came with surface mount switches. Big ugly things. They heat up when set to lower settings. It worries me, that's why I'm buying these sliders. They are from the same company as the fans. I installed them and left them hanging out of the box. Run the fans at low speed for three hours and the new slider will maintain the same temperature across the board. Doesn't feel warm. Fans are now significantly quieter with the slider. Fans would be happy about the included switch. So far, so good. These fans are in the store. I'm satisfied so far.
