Adapter does not fit iPencil

I am a professional illustrator using an iPad Pro and I only bought it because I needed an adapter to charge my iPencil. I thought a split cable to charge your iPad at the same time would be a great idea. NOT ASSEMBLED except iPencil adapter. GENERAL. I needed an iPencil adapter/charger, not another lightning cable.
