We LOVE chairs! I've read the reviews and seen a lot of negative comments about the side table, so I confess I was a little apprehensive while waiting for delivery. I think it's perfect! As you can see from the picture, although it's nothing monstrous, it holds my mug surprisingly well and is large enough to hold many different sized mugs and bottles. The seat is very comfortable with plenty of headroom. The seat itself is very solidly built, even for those who might have a slightly larger butt. Great chair for a great price!
