A good kit. I'm having trouble with my first kit; I can't tell if there were problems from the start or if the problem was caused by me, but the main IC eventually died (and is unusable). I put together a second set (which I just bought instead of returning the original) with no problems. The kit was easy to assemble and comes with good instructions. Resistors and capacitors are on a marked card, so disassembling the components does not take much time. she is well organized. The quality of the finished product cannot be compared to expensive measuring devices. It's made of very light plastic and the tight rubber case doesn't fit very well. The pass-through buzzer is very weak, but I'm wondering if this can be improved by tweaking the buzzer's design. Sitting on the bench where there isn't too much abuse, that has to continue. I wouldn't use it in harsher environments. For the price, however, it's hard to beat. It contained both probes and separate alligator clips. It checks capacitance as well as basic transistor tests, AC/AC current (line/series) in addition to all the usual basic multimeter measurements.
