Mounting the fan motor to a ceiling mount is not self-levelling. Most fans use a ball on the motor and a socket on the bracket. This fan has a cube-shaped plastic block that fits into a ceiling mount. There are no adjustments. When first installed, the fan scratched the large outer cover. Took everything apart and found the ceiling height, mount level and fan motor were misaligned. End up with a gasket under the plastic block on one end and a ceiling mount to set the motor upright and level. Put everything back together and everything works. The question is why, after many years and millions of fans, has the ball and socket attachment been changed? I do not recommend this fan to the average homeowner.
