Review on Dreambaby Denver Adapta Baby Safety Gate Barrier for Stairs and Wide Areas - L2060BB - 29 Inch Mesh Gate by Rahmayanda Foremaster

When we needed an adjustable gate for our odd shaped staircase, this DreamBaby gate was one of the top candidates. We were struck by how difficult it seemed. The lock was better than others we've seen but not as good as the locks we've had on our Regalo Easy Step extra wide gates. And we liked that the door could be adjusted to open either way or just one way, and that this door was ready to install almost immediately. This DreamBaby gate fit in the space at the top of our stairs, but the only reason it lost to Kidco's auto-closing gate was because (1) Kidco offered a 9-inch extension that we could replace to make it better close . into space (I could only find a 24" extension for the DreamBaby Newport, no less) and (2) the connections you tighten to hold the shape on the DreamBaby gate didn't seem very strong , as if the shape would not hold when the children pull and push it, which I think could be dangerous near the stairs. Kidco collars had caps that could be placed on the ankles that did a much better job of locking in the shape you wanted to hold. However, the DreamBaby was much cheaper than the Kidco. So if cost is a bigger issue for us I would choose this DreamBaby gate.
