Review on Save Energy with GE Lighting 66282 Energy Efficient Replacement by Erik Richardson

It may or may not be a good lightbulb. I never managed to find out because none of them, housed in a flimsy cardboard box, worked. One of them had a broken filament - I could hear the bulb rattling as I shook it. The base of the other was so loosely connected to the glass part that I didn't dare screw it in for fear it would explode or at least fall apart. In the beginning they were probably pretty good light sources. Sure, its features are just right for my needs: ultra-bright when needed, durable, and energy-efficient. Why GE packaged two $20 light bulbs in a five-cent piece of lightweight cardboard with a single paper spacer between the bulbs is another example of how the company's bean counters can seriously damage its products and image. To save a few pennies they under-packaged these two delicate and expensive items and as a result I have to send them back and buy another brand of lamp with the same specs. (If anyone has any recommendations, I'd appreciate it if you respond to this review.)
