Save Energy with GE Lighting 66282 Energy Efficient Replacement Review

I love these replacement safety headlight bulbs we have in our garage. These are brilliant white emitters that appear much brighter than previous lamps. Hope they last as long as the specs say.

DO NOT BUY. They last from 2 weeks to less than 6 months. I bought too many of these to count and then just stopped buying and had to switch to a more expensive brand. When they blew up in less than 30 days (which happened so often) I returned them and Revane replaced them. But then they burned out again and the cycle started again.

I like them but they're expensive. I will buy them again and again because the shine is so beautiful. You are an essential lightbulb. TO UPDATE! TO UPDATE! I buy four at a time so I always have a spare. In the last two orders, one of the bulbs didn't work. I was able to request a refund for this because I immediately used the bulbs I had just purchased and found them to be faulty. There was only one bulb left in my SPARE PARTS box and the last one didn't work either.

These bulbs are bright - much brighter than the CFL PAR38 bulbs I replaced. But not everything is fine with durability. I commissioned 4 of these lamps near my house 3 weeks ago. Already 1 out of 4 has died. I've already thrown away the boxes, so I don't have access to any warranty information. I would not buy them again based on this purchase. UPDATE 1/20/2016: 2 out of 4 bulbs are already dead. Lowered my star rating to ONE. Very unsatisfied with the durability.

I use them in a water treatment system for outdoor heaters as they are fully insulated and do not require heat lamps. I ordered a pack and one bulb broke. Received a replacement package and it had a broken lightbulb. The first lightbulb only worked a month before it went out. I don't know if this is due to the quality of the bulbs or the conditions of the bulb being abusive in the canopy provided. They don't cost money for the use I need them for and I'll look at other options. It's too…

It may or may not be a good lightbulb. I never managed to find out because none of them, housed in a flimsy cardboard box, worked. One of them had a broken filament - I could hear the bulb rattling as I shook it. The base of the other was so loosely connected to the glass part that I didn't dare screw it in for fear it would explode or at least fall apart.
