Review on πŸ–¨οΈ TENLOG Hands Pro Borosilicate TMC2209: The Ultimate 3D Printer with Precision Engineering by Todd Calloway

Great dual extruder 3D printer for beginners too!

This is my first 3D printer and my first experience with 3D printing in general. The printer arrived very well packaged and was relatively easy to assemble. The only problem I had was leveling the bed, which took a while. I used the Windows version of Cura Tenlog (4.8) available on their website and printed with the default settings. Unfortunately there is no Linux version on the Tenlog website, although this can probably be fixed by manually entering all the printer settings that are included in the Windows version. All instructions are available on their website and are also included on the SD card. I was surprised that it comes with all the tools needed for assembly, an SD card, a USB SD card reader, a scraper and two small test rollers, one white and one imitation wood. The version I received came with a borosilicate glass layer which makes it very easy to remove the print. Once the platform has cooled, the print can be removed by hand with very little resistance. I am new to 3D printing and this is not a problem for me. The optional extruder requires a different alignment method that's easy, and managing the printheads on Cura is as simple as clicking on the model and then selecting the printhead you want to use. The second printhead gives you the benefit of mirror printing, which is manually selected on the printer just before printing, two different materials on the same print, and you can also delegate an extruder to help with the print, which is an added bonus when using it of PVA is. I would highly recommend this printer for beginners.
