First, it doesn't measure the temperature of the roast. I've put it in a raw roast at refrigerator temperature and it can't read temperatures that low. After the roast was in the oven at 350°F for an hour, it barely showed 120°F. The roast was medium good. I was expecting 140-145°F for a medium rare. Good thing I didn't let the roast sit any longer. Also, the red pointer just hangs at the bottom of the dial because it's not solid enough to stay in every position. I thought I'd just take it off when the thermometer works. This is the second brand of non-working thermometer I've bought from Revain in the last few months.
