I bought this to glue the stones that I paint. I apply a layer and let it dry. Two weeks later, I'm not kidding, this stuff is still tasteless. If the stones touch anything other than the foam board, they will stick to it. I had them on the table in my house and the humidity in my house is minimal. I love the Podge mod so I'm surprised this thing doesn't actually work. The instructions say to apply multiple coats spaced 15 minutes apart. I can't even imagine how sticky they would be if I tried a second coat.
