My old training color has finally given up and I ordered this collar based on the many good reviews. My dog is well behaved and I rarely use the shock function. The variable vibration level is a great feature that my previous collar didn't have. My dog responds to both the beep and the vibration. If I want her to react quickly, I use a strong vibration. If I just need to find them, there's a gentle vibration or beep. Two shock buttons are a good idea as a short shock will do the trick, but a long shock really grabs the attention when real correction is needed. Both shock buttons do not allow permanent use. The device is compact, lightweight, with belt clip and strap. The collar is easily adjustable in length. My only suggestion would be to paint the strength dial as the letters are small and difficult to read in bright sunlight.
