This is a simple, inexpensive device that works well. I bought this to replace an old KVM that didn't have a remote switch. It has a wired remote switch with a few feet of cable. The small white switch does not stand out on the desk, and the switch housing with thick VGA cables can be hidden. That's what I wanted and that's what I got, but I notice that this device seems to keep the 'other' computer in better shape than my old one. With my old switch, sometimes when it was plugged back in, the other machine couldn't see the monitor properly; It will come back with general settings. I would have to unplug/re-plug the VGA cable and then the monitor would be recognized correctly. This device handles the transfer better, so the transition appears very smooth. I'm happy with that.
