I fouled the spark plug threads on my Ariens snow thrower when replacing a spark plug that was difficult to access. When I felt things going badly I backed down but noticed that the top threads were badly damaged. Really freaked out. But I watched a few YouTube videos and made sure I can use the thread hunter to rewind the thread and avoid very expensive repairs at the shop. I chose the ARES 70692 restricted-access tap because it seemed to be of good quality and intended for restricted-access use. I followed my instructions on YouTube and successfully restored. I recommend a new spark plug as the one I used to damage the threads on the snowblower was also slightly damaged. They don't want to risk another foul. Also, the reviewer suggested buying the Briggs & Stratton 5402K spark plug (which I did), which fits hard-to-find spark plugs.
