Note that this is more of a very sticky resin-like material with a heat shield. It is not a fabric with an adhesive layer and a heat shield layer like most heat and sound absorbing materials. Like I said, I really like this product. It was very easy to install, cut and shape. Slight pressure to install first to secure in place. It goes on and comes off very easily if you don't push it all the way. Then go over the heat gun (optional) and press firmly to fully attach to the product. Their website claims 300° direct contact and 2000°+ indirect contact. It seems to be working very well. I installed it in just under 2 weeks. I used it on my Side by Side's transmission tunnel.
