Heat and Sound Suppressor - Thermo-Tec 14610 - 24x36 inches Review

Excellent material, easy to install. As for noise reduction, time will tell as the car hasn't gone out yet. The only problem is that the black material becomes "sticky". It's getting warm in my Rat Rod cabin.

I bought 2 rolls of this material for the noise and truck insulation and it was very easy to work with and cut with scissors. Adhesion was GREAT and overall it was a good deal. I have used this on a floor panel and will be installing a second roll on the door panels,

Easy to cut, easy to install. Used for lining in a jeep under the carpet. It's not as far around as I thought so make sure you measure and plan accordingly. Carpeting has not yet been laid as the project is still in progress. So I can't tell you how that affects power, isolation and the like.

I bought this to align the bottom of my Can Am as it is noisy and gives off an unbearable heat in the Texan summer. It is an excellent soundproofing product and also a very good thermal barrier. I recommend this product and will buy more and install as soon as possible. It's a bit pricey but worth every penny.

Product quality from Thermo-Tec is second to none in my opinion; I've been using them since the early 1990's, starting with the exhaust and header. The thermal and acoustic insulation sheeting here is strong, easy to cut and bend, and easy to apply thanks to the peelable substrate covering the adhesive. As with similar products, test the backing dry before removing. it is not so easy to rearrange after pasting.

I bought this to deaden fan noise and the rattling of the pellet stove storage bin. The footage was cut and placed where I thought it would drown out the noise. I was glad it worked even better than expected! The previous noise level has been reduced by around 5 decibels or more! Very noticeable difference in sediment noise than before. Highly recommended!

Note that this is more of a very sticky resin-like material with a heat shield. It is not a fabric with an adhesive layer and a heat shield layer like most heat and sound absorbing materials. I bought this to line the underside of my ATV (four wheeler) plastic body. I bought an aftermarket exhaust system that generates significantly more heat than a stock pipe. I always ended up with a painful red spot on my lower calf that could burn me THROUGH the plastic casing. I measured the temperature of the plastic that burned me, 120-125 degrees.
