This thing really makes assembling and repairing small circuit boards a lot easier. But the handles, which tighten the set screws that hold the device at the desired angle and maintain the pressure to hold it in your jaws, are undersized in diameter and difficult for arthritic fingers to turn. Another improvement will be the inclusion of several suction cups as legs, which can be replaced with the ones currently present. If you need to unsolder the wire of a soldered component from the board during heating or any other similar action, the device slides on the desk. I use a small C-clip to secure mine when needed, but if I didn't have one I'd be a little disappointed. I'd rather pay a bit more and have my own way of snapping it onto a workbench. However, until something snaps, I recommend it. But if you don't already have a small C-Clip, I suggest you order one as well.
