Brushes came into vogue I guess because they were a new thing for people to spend money on. I have many myself. But I grew up with the sponge apps that came with shadows and never complained about them. Lips are the bomb! Get more pigment in one go, much less hair loss, and they're good for applying other things like contouring cream on and around your nose. Speaking of which, I always found concealer brushes absurd, they come with an applicator! drought But still they are durable and the sponges are thick and well attached so you can reuse them for the same or similar color.
