I have three dogs, all under 15 pounds, and they all love to chew. I'm constantly in search of long-lasting bones that are healthy and safe. I normally avoid rawhide, but I thought I'd give these a try. The price is far more reasonable than most of the chews I buy them, so I was hoping for miracles here.My dogs, of course, love them. It's beefhide, chicken, and bacon. How can you go wrong in a dog's eyes with those flavors?As for long-lasting, two of my dogs take about 15 minutes to devour theirs. My other dog is the problem child and the reason why I avoid rawhide. He can eat one of these in less than 5 minutes, mainly because he swallows the soggy strip of rawhide once the flavor is chewed off. Then he gets a bit of diarrhea, which isn't fun for either of us.The first few ingredients are healthy, though I'm not a fan of others. There is "artificial pork flavor". I mean, what is that? There's also Red #40, which isn't healthy and is totally unnecessary. I'm sure my dogs don't care what color their treats are. Because of those questionable ingredients, I'd only give these chews to my dogs on rare occasions.
